About Rose d'Or

The Rose d’Or Festival, held annually in Lucerne, Switzerland, draws the best of the year's entertainment television programming. With more than 40 countries participating, the festival is the most important networking platform for the onscreen entertainment community, and attracts leading figures from the global industry, providing a unique opportunity for discussion, debate and behind-the-scenes deal making.

The newest programmes are sent from all around the world and an international jury of leading professionals is given the task of narrowing the field to select the nominees, and then the winners.

Throughout its history, the festival's goal has always been to reward originality, quality and creativity in entertainment programming, and to encourage excellence in television and new media. Each year, the Rose d'Or offers its delegates the opportunity to view all the programmes entered at the Film Kiosk.

The Rose d’Or Forum Programme promotes a free exchange of knowledge and ideas, inviting high profile participants to share their insights into important industry issues. Forum topics focus on up-to-the-minute business trends, providing a platform for thought-provoking discussion.

From the Opening Ceremony through to the grand finale of the Awards Ceremony, business can be combined with pleasure in a fun and friendly atmosphere. A regular festival highlight is the Boat Cruise around Lake Lucerne - a get-together event amidst stunning alpine scenery, as well as the Comedy Night - an evening of laughter with world class comedians.
At the Networking Lounge you can meet up with your fellow professionals and continue the debate after the conference, before joining old friends and new acquaintances in the Rose d’Or Bar.

The 50th Rose d’Or Festival will take place in autumn, from September 18-22, 2010. The main festival centre will be at the Hotel Schweizerhof, and the anniversary celebrations will culminate with the Awards Ceremony on September 22 at the Culture and Convention Centre Lucerne, KKL.
